Stewardship Campaign 2013
Annual stewardship campaign looks toward ‘multiplying our gifts’
By Trish Simmons
We want to thank you all for your commitment this past year. Stewardship represents not only your financial support, but also the contributions many of you have made through your time and talents. We say: Thank you.
By now, you should have received our request for a pledge for 2013, which will help us with our decisions. Our theme this year is “Multiplying our Gifts” — based on the recent findings of the vast contributions that our church and your efforts make to our community.
To better understand the allocation of funds, the following graph shows how we assign every dollar of our current $1.1 million budget to one for the four essential areas: pastoral care, worship, education and outreach.
We now begin to envision our ministry for 2013. The goal is to expand our efforts in all four of these areas, projecting about 7 percent increase in the operating budget for next year. To fulfill this effort, we would like to increase the pledge income by about 15 percent in 2013 to support expanding worship experiences, grow our Sunday School for all ages, strengthen our care for one another and reach out both to serve those in need and to address the systemic problems that cause that need.
We ask that you prayerfully consider a 2013 commitment.
