Tuesday Bible Study on ZOOM with Rev. Dr. Cheri Magrini

Tuesday Bible Study begins a new ZOOM six-week study on First and Second Samuel, March 15th with options for 9am or 6:15pm, including a special movie night.
First and Second Samuel tell the story of the beginnings of monarchy in ancient Israel, often called, “The Rise and Fall of David.” Hannah, Michal, Abigail and Bathsheba are women of faith and courage whose stories are often overlooked in this complex period of changing political, religious, social and economic power dynamics in the history of Israel. The class will include their stories along with Samuel, Saul, David, and Jonathon. We will have a special movie night that highlights a contemporary woman of faith and courage during changing times.
The class meets for six-weeks beginning Tuesday, March 15th choosing either 9am or 6:15pm. You can alternate as needed. The class is taught by Rev. Dr. Cheri Magrini along with insightful discussion by all. The study book to purchase on your own is, First and Second Samuel, volume 8 in the New Bible Collegeville Commentary series, author Feidhlimidh T. Magennis, Liturgical Press, 2012.
