Event Hosting
Overview
The First United Methodist Church (FUMC) at The Chicago Temple has space available for rent to eligible groups and individuals.

Note that weddings are handled separately and individuals interested in getting married at The Chicago Temple should visit our wedding page.
Eligibility Requirements
Individuals or groups looking to make use of space at The Chicago Temple must:
- Use the room in way that is consistent with FUMC’s mission and values
- Provide a certificate of liability insurance or waiver indemnifying the FUMC
- Be respectful of the building, other users, and neighbors
Hosting an event does not imply the FUMC’s endorsement or support of any individual, organization or position.
Reserving a Room
In order to reserve a room, please complete our Event Request Form.
Once submitted, your form will be reviewed by church staff and you will be contacted to discuss within 5 business days. If you accept the applicable terms, a building agreement will be issued for signature.
While every attempt will be made to accommodate your requested time, date and location, scheduling will depend upon availability. This is something you will be able to discuss with church staff, when contacted.
Cost

Payment
When the agreement is signed, an invoice will ge generated and payment is due within 30 days – preferably on or before the event date. Cancellation charges may apply.
Payment may be made via cash, check, money order or credit card (for a small additional fee).

In the memo field of the check, please write “Room Use”.
