Birth of the Flute Concert

“Birth of the Flute: Songs with and without Words.” takes place on Sunday, October 22, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, feat. early music group, Les Ordinaires. This concert explores the intersections between voice and flute in the French Baroque and the flute’s rise as a solo instrument. Music for Baroque flute and soprano, violin, viola da gamba, harpsichord, and theorbo by Monteclair is performed on 18th century replica instruments. Tickets are $20 adults/$10 seniors and students.
