Jesus said wherever two or three Christians are together – he's there too. So we offer a combination of in-person and web meetings so you can participate with others in prayer, worship or social events. We hope to meet you online or in person soon!

Involuntary Retirement Support Group

May 12 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm

If your career ended earlier than expected, join us for the five-week support group. This group is for people age 55 – 65 who planned to keep working but were laid off or had to retire early. This is not a job hunting or financial planning course, this course is for people who don’t plan to return to full time work.

Popular culture romanticizes retirement as a blissful state of pursuing hobbies, travel and romance. In reality, it can feel like a loss. Being busy isn’t the same as being happy and fulfilled. You may have loved your work or hated it, you may have voluntarily retired or feel kicked to the curb – either way you find yourself waking up with nothing much to do and feeling invisible as you walk down the street.

This is a “beta” course which means you’ll contribute to the tools we use to assess and plan our way out of our current situation. Topics covered include:

What we Lost
Ego and Regrets
Finding your third place
Redefining leisure
My Plan
