Jesus said wherever two or three Christians are together – he's there too. So we offer a combination of in-person and web meetings so you can participate with others in prayer, worship or social events. We hope to meet you online or in person soon!

Self-guided prayer and communion experience

February 26, 2020 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

Free

Come before work, anytime between 7:30AM and 9:00 AM, to participate in a self-guided prayer and communion experience. You may also chose to receive ashes.

This self-guided experience allows you to take as much (or little) time as you like to pray and think about what Jesus means to you. When you are finished with your personal meditation, come to the front to receive communion and ashes.

The table of Holy Communion is Christ’s table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of the local congregation. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and to lead a new life of peace and love.

FAQ

What is Ash Wednesday? On Ash Wednesday a cross is marked on the foreheads of people who follow Christ to symbolize repentance.

Are they real ashes? Yes, the ashes used on Ash Wednesday are made from the burning of palms to help us remember the story of Jesus’s path being covered in palm fronds on the day he entered Jerusalem.

Can I wipe them off and when? You can wipe off your ashes at any time, or wear them all day – this is about your spiritual journey and witness to others – its a personal decision.
