Pastor Carol Hill, a daughter of a United Methodist pastor, has grown up loving the church. She is the eighth consecutive generation of Methodist clergy through her grandmother and the fifth consecutive generation of Methodist clergy through her grandfather! She spent most of her childhood in middle Tennessee and attended Vanderbilt University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Religious Studies and Political Science. She moved to Washington, DC, interned with the Institute on Religion and Public Policy, and worked as a Youth Director in Alexandria, VA. While working with youth, she heard her call to pastoral ministry and began seminary at Wesley Theological Seminary.

She transferred to Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in 2007 and graduated with her M.Div. in 2009. In 2009 she was commissioned and ordained as an elder in the Northern Illinois Conference in 2011. She has served as the Associate Pastor at First UMC Park Ridge (2009-2013) and as the Pastor at Epworth UMC in Chicago (2013-2016) and First UMC of West Dundee (2016-2018). She currently serves as the Senior Minister of the Park Ridge Community Church, through appointment to another denomination (UCC). She has served as the Secretary on the Northern Illinois Conference Program Council, served as the Chicago Northwestern District Youth Coordinator for 4 years, and most recently is on the NIC General/Jurisdictional Conference Delegation in 2016 and 2019.
