Hanni Salata (she/they) began her position at FUMC Chicago Temple in May 2025. As Administrative Communications Coordinator, she prepares and maintains public-facing documents such as service bulletins, social media and other webpages, member mailings, and our weekly newsletter, the eCarillon. She also provides administrative support to church staff and committees as needed.

Hanni grew up in Peoria County, Illinois with her loving grandparents. She earned a B.S. in English with concentrations in Creative Writing and Professional Communications from Bradley University in 2021. Shortly after, she moved to the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, where she still resides with her beloved cat, Bella. She was the winner of the Chester Sipple Poetry Prize in 2021 and has been published in multiple creative journals. Before working for FUMC, Hanni served as Communications Coordinator at a Chicago-based luxury travel firm.
