Spring 2026 Carillon Hymn Schedule
Keep your ear to the skies! In celebration of Eastertide and the coming of Spring, our Verdin Carillon system has been reprogrammed with a new selection of hymns.
The carillon schedule has the Westminster clock chime ringing every quarter hour and tolling the hour from 8:00am until 10:00pm. Ten minutes prior to each of our services, a 6 bell peal rings for one minute, calling everyone to worship. Finally, at :46 minutes of the hour from 8:46am until 6:46pm, the following selected hymns serenade our city for two verses:
8:46am When Morning Gilds the Skies
9:46 Morning Has Broken
10:46 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
11:46 For the Beauty of the Earth
1:46pm Let All Things Now Living
2:46 In the Garden
3:46 Bloom Where You're Planted
4:46 Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee
5:46 The Strife is O'er
6:46 This is the Day that the Lord Has Made
The hymns will be changed later in the year to reflect the changing of the seasons.
Where cross the crowded ways of life,
Where sound the cries of race and clan,
Above the noise of selfish strife,
We hear your voice, O Son of man.
Till all the world shall learn your love
And follow where your feet have trod,
Till, glorious from your heaven above,
Shall come the city of our God!
May the sound of our church bells abide with all who hear them throughout the days, uplift the spirit of our neighborhood, and remind all who listen of our holy presence in the heart of our city.
